Thanet means Bright Isle. It has not been that for a long time but with over 130,000 people set to double in the next 100 years it is not a small place (even if it seems so). This is for everyone in or interested in Thanet and it's future.

Margate

Margate is considered by some the "Centre of Thanet" mainly because it has what passes for the local council in what is left of the town centre area.

Margate is close to Westwood Cross and Cliftonville.
