A. Live in Thanet is a social network for those 300,00 or so souls that live in Thanet. We share a relatively tiny geographical space and might as well co-operate in making it somewhere nice to live.

A. In short it is a website where everything possible has been done to allow people to interact and make friends. Common features include the ability to maintain a friends list and to send messages to your friends. While this is fantastic fun never meet up with someone from a website unless you go as a group and meet in a public place. Most people are good and kind but there are a few that are not so please engage your a little logic.
Q. What can I do on Live in Thanet?
A. Live in Thanet is your site so you can choose what you want to do with it. You can maintain a free blog, share you photo's, share your music, publicise events (gigs, parties, exhibits...) or just chat with others. You can even help to write pages (we call then notes) for the site. It's all optional use as much or as little as you like.

A. A blog is a place where you can write a personal but public diary or maintain a commentry such as might be found in an editorial. They are largely informal things with the newst entries at the top. Common features include the ability for readers to leave comments.
Q. What does it mean "subscribe by feed"?
A. A feed is something that enables you to grab the latest content from a site to read off line. It also allows you to monitor all your favourate sites (that support feeds) in one palce.

Q. I see a few Groups - what are they?
A. A group is something special that any member can create or join. You can join as many groups as you want. Groups have a group only forum and message wall where things of specific interest tot he group can chat about that topic. Running a group can be a good way to raise awareness and support for a good cause, a business or a hobby.
